Chase the Cure
My sister, Chase, has always been someone I've looked up to. Her huge heart is a gift to all of those around her. She cares greatly about the relationships near and dear to her heart and doesn't hesitate to lend a hand anywhere and everywhere she can. She's a true friend, an amazing mother, a loving wife, a devoted daughter, a caring aunt and my best friend. I am so thankful for her and feel like the luckiest person on the planet to have been chosen to be her sister.
Growing up, we shared a room until I left for college, and being only 18 months apart, we shared pretty much everything else. We were in the same sorority in college and lived together a few years after graduation. We each got married in 2007 and I moved out of her house to the one next door :) We worked together for a few special years until our families began to grow. We have 4 boys between us, just 15 months between them. I even get to share a birthday with her twins! Our girls followed our boys - Maggie Page and Ellie Chase. All of that and more, it's amazing she still puts up with me :).
Chase learned about her breast cancer diagnosis on January 10, 2018. That day was the first of a new chapter in her life. Chase's army has surrounded her and lifted her up - championed by her husband, Kevin, and her incredible kids. Throughout the emotional and physical roller coaster that accompanies cancer, Chase's spirit remains strong. She intentionally seeks joy in each day, even on the days that the treatments remind you that this battle is not for the faint of heart.
I am so proud of her that my heart nearly bursts every day. I am humbled by her strength, her determination, her thoughtfulness, her grace and her spirit. They say you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you've got and she's as strong as they come. She's rocking this and I'm honored to support her through this walk and on her journey.
Your support means so much to this great cause. Thank you for being a part of our team. Together, we will Chase the Cure.
